Our road trip to Camp  Keystone, Florida was great!  It was in a city called Starke, no where near a beach, but that's ok.  It was so hot there.  I saw palm trees.  We got home safely. We stopped to play in a park, Murray climbed the trees,I set the camera on a garbage can for this shot. That's the scoop. Everyone's gone for the summer and we're awaiting our summer schedule. Married life is still great!!!  Blessings everyone.  Let summer begin

Still reading Ragamuffin Gospel.  I read slower as a married person.  Still enjoying every page.  I've been reading downstairs in the laundry room, I put the laundry in and sit on the table and read until its done.  It's so relaxing.  Anyway, here's another good part I read today:

"We fluctuate between castigating ourselves & congratulating ourselves because we are deluded into thinking we save ourselves.  We develop a false sense of security from our good works and scrupulous observance of the law.  Our halo gets too tight and a carefully disguised attitude of moral superiority results.  Or we are appalled by our inconsistency, devastated that we haven't lived up our lofty expectations of ourselves.  The rollercoaster ride of elation and depression continues.  Why? Because we never lay hold of our nothingness before God.  When we accept ownership of our powerlessness and helplessness, when we acknowledge that we are paupers at the door of God's mercy, then God can make something beautiful out of us."

currently reading: TheRagamuffinGospel

by: Brennan Manning

yes, newlyweds read...

This book is incredible!!!  Here's a paragraph from Page41 for "Y'ALL"

Over the years I've seen Christians  shaping God in their own image-in each case a dreadfully small God.  "The fact that our view of God shapes our lives to a great extent may be one of the reasons Scripture ascribes such importance to seeking to know Him"

hmm....that quote doesn't quite do the book justice.  but anyway, this book is NOT milky AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST another wedding pic.......

I absolutely love this pic!!!!  It's symbolic in a way,  of how Murray and I got married and waved goodbye to everything, and I do mean everything, to start a new life, our married life together.   I miss home alot, but marriage is absolutely wonderful & Georgia is :) peachy :) Go Braves Go!!!!
